You can customize how your robot recognizes and cleans your space. You can split larger rooms into smaller sections or merge multiple areas into one, ensuring Matic cleans exactly the layout you want.
How to edit room boundaries?
- Opening the app, ensure your App is updated to the latest version
- Tap the "Map" icon and go to the map-editing functions
- Select "Edit Room Boundaries" under "Edit My Map"
To Split a Room
- Select the room you'd like to split
- Tap the pencil icon to toggle drawing mode. One in drawing mode, draw a line where you want the room split, and "confirm split".
To Merge Rooms
- Select the rooms you'd like to combine
- Tap the "Merge Rooms" button
- Confirm the merge to create a single larger room, select a new name, and confirm the merge
Once you're happy with the adjustments, the Matic app will automatically updated based on the new boundaries.
If you'd like to clean a specific area in your home, you can also use the Clean Area (Draw to Clean) feature.
