How to edit rooms

You can customize how Matic recognizes and cleans your space. You can rename rooms, split larger rooms into smaller sections, merge multiple areas into one, or delete a room entirely, ensuring Matic cleans exactly the layout you want.

Step 1: Open Edit Rooms

Open the Matic app and navigate to the Edit Map tab, then tap Edit Rooms.

Step 2: Select a Room

Tap the room you'd like to change. A menu will appear asking "What would you like to do?" with four options: Rename this room, Merge rooms, Split this room, or Delete this room.

To Rename a Room

  • Tap Rename this room, then enter the new name.

To Split a Room
  • Tap Split this room.
  • Select the pencil icon in the top right corner, draw a line where you want the room split, and tap Confirm Split.

To Merge Rooms
  • Tap Merge rooms.
  • Tap adjacent rooms on the map to add or remove them from the merge.
  • Tap Confirm Merge.

To Delete a Room

  • Tap Delete this room.
