How to edit floor types

If Matic has incorrectly detected your floor types, you can correct them. To ensure Matic mops only hard floors and does not miss any areas, make sure the floor types on your map are labeled correctly.

How to edit floor types?

  1. Open the Matic App and navigate to the Edit Map tab
  2. Select Edit Floor Types under Edit
  3. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner, draw over the area you want to change, and then click Label As Carpet or Label As Hard Floor depending on which floor type you want to change to

To ensure Matic mops only hard floors and does not miss any areas, make sure the floor types on your map are labeled correctly.

On the Floor Type Map, gray indicates obstacles, green shows toekicks, and magenta (light blue) represents wires.
