Wringer clogged error
The Wringer Clogged error means something is blocking airflow or movement in Matic's mopping system. The most common cause is debris buildup in the wringer, but if the error keeps coming back even after you've cleaned the wringer, the mop tubes are likely clogged. Follow the steps below to fully resolve it.
Step 1: Clean the wringer
- With the mop roll removed, pull the wringer out from the cleaning head. It will be orange on older designs and black on newer ones.
- Wipe off any debris and rinse it.
- Slide it back into the cleaning head until it stops.
- Press Matic's Play/Pause button to clear the error.
If the error persists after cleaning the wringer, go to Step 2.
Step 2: Clean the mop tubes
If you've already cleaned the wringer and the error is still showing, the mop tubes are likely the cause. Here's how to clear them.
Contact support to get the mop tube cleaning tool
- Lower the cleaning head : This unpinches the mop tubes so the cleaning tool can pass all the way through.
- Open the Matic app
- Go to Settings → Troubleshooting Data -> Advanced Controls → Lower Cleaning Head
- Remove the mop roll and wringer. Where you see a groove at the back of the cleaning head on the right side, pull to remove the mop roll and wringer and set them aside.
- Access the tube openings. Remove the HEPA bag and water tank and place Matic on its side. You'll see two tube openings inside the bin where the HEPA bag sits.
- Run the cleaning tool through. Insert the Mop Tube Cleaning Tool into one opening and push it all the way through until it comes out from the mop cavity on the other side. Repeat on the other tube.
- Reassemble and raise the cleaning head. Put everything back in, then raise cleaning head.
- Open the Matic app
- Go to Settings → Troubleshooting Data -> Advanced Controls → Raise Cleaning Head
