Side Brush Malfunction
Debris, mislabeled carpets, and motor issues can cause persistent side brush malfunction errors.
1. Check for debris on the side brush.
2. Open the app, and navigate Edit Map > Floor Types.
Are any carpets bigger in real life than they appear on your map? If Matic has incorrectly detected carpet boundaries, the side brush could be jamming on your carpets.
3. Remove the side brush and ask Matic to clean.
From the Home page, navigate Custom Clean > Draw Area. Draw a stall area near the wall in order that Matic would try to engage the side brush. Select "Vacuum" and let Matic run its course. Note whether you got a side brush malfunction error again. In that case, the motor is definitely broken.
