Matic is not charging
If Matic isn't charging, the issue is usually with the dock connection, the charging pads, or the bot not powering on. The steps below will help you identify what's going on.
Check the dock power
Make sure the power cable on the back of the dock is fully plugged into a wall outlet. The dock light should be white when it has power.
- If the light is off, try a different outlet
- If the light is still off after trying a different outlet, contact support
Check the dock pads
The two metal spring pads on the dock should be clean and pop back up when pressed down.
- If they look dirty, wipe them with a dry cloth and check again
- If the pads are sunken, stuck, or won't extend, contact support
Clean Matic's charging contacts
Wipe any dust or debris from the metal charging pads on the underside of Matic with a dry cloth.
Place Matic on the dock and check the dock light
Set Matic on the dock and observe what colour the dock light turns:
- Green : dock detects Matic and charging is on. Continue to the next step.
- White : dock does not detect Matic and charging is off, contact support
- Blue, yellow, or purple : dock detects Matic but has encountered an error, contact support
Check for signs of life
With Matic on the dock, press and hold the power button for 10–15 seconds. Notice any lights, fan noise, or screen activity.
- If Matic powers on or shows any signs of life, leave it to charge and monitor
- If Matic remains completely unresponsive after 30 minutes on the dock, contact support
FAQs
The dock light alternates between green and white
This is normal. it means Matic is fully charged but powered off while sitting on the dock. No action needed.
Matic turns on briefly then shuts off
This usually means the battery is critically low. Leave it on the dock for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button again.
The dock light turns green but Matic still shows "not charging" in the app
This can be a contact issue. Try lifting Matic off the dock, wiping both the dock pads and bot contacts again, and reseating it firmly.
