Mop Roll Jam error
The mop roll jam error is usually caused by debris in the mopping cavity, a worn mop roll, or a problem with the motor that drives it. Follow the steps below to diagnose and resolve it.
1. Check for debris on the mop roll and in the mopping cavity.
Remove the mop roll and inspect it and the mopping cavity for hair, dirt, or buildup. Clear any debris you find, then reinsert the mop roll until it clicks and press Play/Pause to clear the error.
2. Disassemble and inspect the mop roll
Disassemble the mop roll into its three parts — the idler, core, and mop roll and check each one for wear or damage. If the mop roll looks worn or damaged, replace it. You can order a replacement here.
3. Test the drive shaft
With the mop roll removed, run a mopping routine to check whether the motor is working:
- Go to Settings > Troubleshooting Tools > Advanced Controls
- Open the dropdown and select Routines > Mop Hardfloor
- Listen for the sound of the metal drive shaft spinning
Then note which error appears — Mop Roll Jammed or Mop Roll Missing — and include this in your support ticket.
