Where to place Matic's dock

Choosing the right spot for Matic's dock helps ensure smooth docking, safe operation, and reliable charging. The steps below cover best practices for dock placement.

Step 1: Leave Enough Clearance on Each Side

The dock should be placed against a wall, with enough open space on either side for Matic to approach and pull away freely. Avoid placing the dock directly in a corner or up against furniture or other objects on either side.

Step 2: Keep the Dock Away from Stairs

Place the dock at least 3 feet away from stairs to prevent accidental falls.

Step 3: Check for Overhead Clearance

Avoid placing the dock under furniture or shelving that gives Matic less than 3 inches of clearance above it.
