Using cleaning solutions with Matic

We recommend Aunt Fannie's Multi-Surface or Hardwood Floor Cleaner, depending on your floors. It's the only cleaner approved for Matic.

Made with plant-based ingredients, Aunt Fannie's is kid and pet friendly, and helps neutralize odors while leaving floors fresh and clean.

If neither is right for your home, plain water gets the job done.

⚠️ Skip everything else. Soaps, bleaches, disinfectants, degreasers, enzymatic cleaners, essential oils, and perfumes can break down Matic's components over time.

How to fill the water tank:

  1. Empty and rinse out the water tank.
  2. Fill the tank about 90% full with water.
  3. Add the contents of one cleaning packet from your accessories box, or fill the Aunt Fannie’s bottle cap halfway (5 mL) and pour the cleaner into the tank.
  4. Screw the tank cap on tightly.
  5. Place the tank back in Matic, cap-side down. Give it a gentle nudge to make sure it’s secure.

⚠️A little cleaner goes a long way. Adding too much can cause foaming and damage Matic's hardware.
