Mop roll missing error
If Matic shows a "Mop Roll Missing" error, the cause depends on whether the mop roll gets physically ejected during cleaning or stays in place. The steps below will help you identify which scenario applies and how to resolve it.
Step 1: Reinsert the Mop Roll
Remove the mop roll, and inspect it and the mopping cavity for hair, dirt, or buildup. Clear any debris you find, then reinsert the mop roll until it clicks and press Play/Pause to clear the error.
Step 2: Check Which Scenario Applies
If the mop roll is getting ejected during cleaning:
Small magnets inside the mop roll cavity help Matic detect whether the roll is present. If these magnets are missing or damaged, Matic will show a "Missing" error even when the roll is correctly seated and spinning.

Check the mop roll cavity for the magnets shown above. If a magnet is missing, damaged, or out of place, contact support with images so they can send you replacement parts or take your unit in for repair as needed.
If the mop roll is not getting ejected:
Step 3: Test the Drive Shaft
With the mop roll removed, run a mopping routine to check whether the motor is working:
- Go to Settings > Troubleshooting Data > Advanced Controls.
- Run Mop Roll Motor.
- Listen for the sound of the metal drive shaft spinning, and see if it spins.
Contact support and let us know the result of this test.
