How to use and schedule sink summon

Our Sink Summon feature allows you to choose where Matic will go when its water tank is empty. This should reduce amount of trips you take between Matic's dock and the sink.

Set up your Sink Summon location

Before Matic can use Sink Summon, you need to pin a location on your map. You only need to do this once, though you can update it any time.

  1. Open the Matic app and tap Edit Map in the bottom menu
  2. Select Sink Summon under Pinned Location
  3. On the map, long press the spot where you want Matic to wait — ideally right next to your sink
  4. Tap Done to save the location

Schedule a Sink Summon

With Scheduled Sink Summon, you choose which days and what time Matic should head to the sink and how long it waits there. This makes refilling fit into your routine instead of interrupting it.

FAQs

Opening the lid resets the water level

If you open Matic's lid, even just to check, the system assumes the tank has been refilled and resets the water level to full. Only open the lid when you're ready to refill.

No notification when a scheduled Sink Summon is skipped

If Matic can't run a scheduled Sink Summon (for example, because it's already docked or cleaning), it will skip that instance silently. There's currently no in-app notification for this.

What if the path to the sink is blocked?

If Matic can't navigate to the Sink Summon location, it will return to its dock instead. Try repositioning furniture or clearing the path, then trigger Sink Summon again manually from the app.

Does Sink Summon work mid-clean?

Yes, if Matic runs out of water during a cleaning session, it will head to the sink location automatically. Once you refill the tank and close the lid, Matic resumes cleaning from where it left off.

Setting Sink Summon Locations for Multiple Floors

Select the floor from the top-right corner of the app, go to Edit Map, and follow the instructions to set the sink summon location. Repeat for each floor as needed.
