How to replace water tank cap and cartridge?

This guide shows you how to replace your Matic's water tank cap and the cartridge attached to it.

Note: Only newer versions of the water tank cap support cartridge replacement. If your cap is an older version, it does not have a replaceable cartridge, since this was a design change introduced in later versions.

The video below shows how to remove the cap from the water tank and swap out the cartridge attached to it.

We recommend replacing the cartridge every 3 months so that your tank stays fresh.
