Matic camera error or unresponsive behavior
Seeing a Camera error, a blank or frozen screen, or Matic stuck in a reboot loop? This guide tells you exactly what to send support to get it resolved quickly.
This guide applies if you're seeing:
- A "Camera issue" error
- Matic appears off and doesn't respond to the power button, but fan noise is audible, the display is dark, or the LED ring around the power button stays on (a "coma state")
- Matic stuck in a reboot loop (screen goes blank → Matic logo → restarts repeatedly)
- Matic stuck on the logo screen and won't progress past startup
- A cleaning session that ended early with no explanation, or skipped large areas
- Matic froze mid-clean
- Problems started after a physical impact (hitting a wall or being bumped into something)
Step 1: Hold the Play/Pause Button
Hold the play/pause button on your Matic down for about 10 seconds.
Step 2: Let Matic Rest
Let Matic sit away from the dock for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Power Matic Back On
Hold the play/pause button down for about 3 seconds, until the screen turns on.
If Matic still appears unresponsive or you can still see an error after this reboot, this is most likely a hardware issue. Contact support with photos of the bot and your findings for further help.
Contact support
If the reboot didn't resolve the issue, please contact support and include the following so we can diagnose your issue without asking you to follow up:
- Your bot ID : found in the Matic app under Settings → About
- When the issue first started: date and approximate time if possible
- What the error message says, if any
- Whether you've already tried a hard reboot, and what happened afterward
- A video of the behaviour if there's no error message but something seems off
- Debugging data sharing enabled : before reaching out, go to Settings → Troubleshooting Data and make sure "Share Robot Debugging Data" is turned on. This allows our team to review your logs and diagnose the issue quickly.
